WHAT WE offer


Vigor Rugby will design a bespoke rugby and fitness coaching programme around your schools needs and busy lesson schedule.

Vigor Rugby can provide:

After schools clubs on any day that your school wishes, and training sessions that can incorporate what the children have learnt during their lessons.

  • A rugby and fitness coach, who is up to date with all RFU official courses, including scrum factory and rugby ready and is already CRB checked with the RFU.
  • The coach can also attend P.E. lessons during school time to provide CPD for teaching staff.
  • Develop a rugby team for your school and look after the needs of running a team.

Rugby Clubs

Vigor Rugby have experience of creating rugby teams ands section from scratch.  We have created a boys rugby teams and girls section in the past for all ages.

We can offer clubs:

  • Create rugby teams and sections
  • Help identify new coaches and mentor them throughout.
  • Create mentoring session for all coaches ensuring up to date information and training ideas shared to support a team.
  • Support coaches in skilled based areas.

Rugby Players

Vigor Rugby offer one on one training and small session group training for all aged players.  We offer:

  • Tailor made training sessions to look at different areas of their games.  We can also look at the players last weeks performance. 
  • Create a fittness sessions taliored to the players postion and needs.
  • A FREE Zoom fitness  group session every week.

Walking Rugby - Coming Soon

Walking rugby the slower, non-contact version of the game. A great way for those recovering from injury and illness, and over-50s wishing to stay fit and active to play the sport they love.

Touch Rugby


Adults touch rugby 

1pm till 2:30pm – £3 a person 

Venue – Durham Road Pitches , Houghton-le-Spring.


Kids touch rugby ( school years 7 to 10)  

10:30am till 12pm – £3 a person.

Little Legs

Rugby fun for children aged 4 - 7

Every session is full of fun rugby based activities to help teach children rugby. sessions will help develop players hand and eye coordination and improve social skills.

Current Guidelines

1. only one adult per child will be able to attend – please bring masks
2. please remember to bring a drink for your child
3. we only have 10 place
